Night Personal Assistant – Care Leavers (Manchester)

About the role

We are looking for a Night Personal Assistant to provide overnight support in a supported accommodation service for young people and care leavers aged 18‑25. Working alongside a Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment throughout the night and support the daytime team with essential handovers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to residents during night hours.
• Respond calmly to welfare concerns or crisis situations.
• Carry out welfare checks and keep accurate records.
• Complete administrative tasks and hand over information to the day team.
• Report repairs, maintenance issues and prepare vacant rooms for new residents.
• Liaise with contractors and external agencies as required.
• Assist residents with practical needs, sign‑posting and benefit‑related enquiries.
• Record all incidents, observations and actions accurately.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people, care leavers, vulnerable adults or in a support setting.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts.
• Strong communication and administration abilities.
• Calm, professional approach to challenging situations.
• Understanding of safeguarding and customer wellbeing.

• Shift pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off (9:30 pm – 8:00 am).
• Hourly rate of £13.64.
