North American Casualty Claims Lead

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated North American Casualty Claims Lead to join our London‑based claims team. The role supports a market‑leading broker with a diverse portfolio of complex casualty claims across the United States and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of North American casualty claims, including general liability and excess/umbrella coverage.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, insurers and legal representatives.
• Provide expert guidance on claims strategy, coverage interpretation and reserving.
• Monitor claim progress, deliver timely updates and drive resolution.
• Negotiate settlements and support dispute‑resolution processes.
• Analyse claims data to identify trends and deliver risk‑management insights.
• Collaborate with broking teams to ensure seamless client service.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling North American casualty claims within a broker or insurer.
• Strong technical knowledge of US liability claims and litigation processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, solution‑focused approach to complex claims.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• ACII qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
