Operational Risk Manager – Control Assessment (Contract)

About the role

This contract position is responsible for delivering best‑in‑class operational risk reporting and control assessment within a wealth management environment. You will work closely with business partners to ensure controls are documented, tested and reported in a consistent, data‑driven manner.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual control assessment planning and execution using innovative testing approaches and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with business units to verify control documentation meets assessment standards and identify gaps.
• Produce high‑quality, standardised risk reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to the central Operational Risk framework, including RCSA, risk appetite measures and KRIs.
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, focusing on efficiency and reusability.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of operational risk management, control assessment and related frameworks.
• Proven experience conducting complex control assessments in a financial services setting.
• Ability to engage senior management and communicate findings clearly.

Required skills

• Experience with analytical tools and AI technologies for risk testing.
• Technical expertise in documenting controls and integrating them into risk frameworks.
