Operations Analyst – Equities Focus

About the role

The Operations Analyst will support the processing, settlement and reconciliation of equities trades for Britannia Global Investments, working from the Scalpel Building in Bishopsgate. This hands‑on position blends day‑to‑day operational duties with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and project work.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately input, check and maintain trade details in internal systems.
• Liaise with counterparties to confirm trade details, resolve discrepancies and ensure timely settlement.
• Process client position transfers, manage failed trades and assist with corporate actions such as dividends and redemptions.
• Complete daily cash and stock reconciliations, investigate breaks and provide auditable commentary.
• Support the preparation of operational and regulatory reports.
• Identify and suggest process improvements, contribute to system upgrades and keep procedural documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Experience in financial operations, settlements or middle‑office roles with extensive equities trade life‑cycle knowledge.
• Familiarity with reconciliations, corporate actions and relevant industry regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, high accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Experience with settlement or reconciliation systems such as Broadridge, Crest or Euroclear.
