Operations Executive

About the role

The Operations Executive will support the smooth running of the Operations department for a tour operator group, handling assigned tours and delivering high‑quality pre‑ and post‑sale service to customers. The role combines office work in Birmingham city centre with flexible home‑working and may require occasional coverage outside normal office hours.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate control room resources and manage release dates for tours.
• Handle additional services and special requests linked to bookings.
• Complete client flight requests promptly.
• Provide accurate communication, manifests and documentation to agents and suppliers.
• Draft clear customer itineraries and arrange ticketing and boarding passes.
• Dispatch travel documentation to customers on schedule.
• Maintain clear, timely communication while observing administrative protocols.
• Liaise with suppliers on quality‑control issues and audit allotments and contract data for system accuracy.
• Assist Finance with supplier invoicing when required.
• Answer incoming customer calls and take appropriate action.
• Enter and update data in the reservation system platform.
• Apply company policies to resolve pre‑ and post‑sale service issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a travel‑company operational, customer service, after‑sales or operations role.
• Ability to work both in an office environment and remotely.
• Flexibility to cover occasional outside‑office hours.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
