Operations Manager – Heat Networks

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of heat network services across multiple contracts in London. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will combine technical oversight, client relationship management and commercial responsibility to ensure safe, reliable and profitable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of heat network maintenance and service contracts, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of engineers, providing technical support when required.
• Maintain strong client relationships and attend regular review meetings.
• Produce quotations, operational reports and monitor contract performance, profitability and productivity.
• Oversee mobilisation of new contracts and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote health & safety and compliance across all sites.
• Conduct engineer appraisals, mentoring and recruitment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations, contract or engineering management within commercial maintenance contracts.
• Strong mechanical or HVAC background with solid understanding of heat networks.
• Excellent leadership, people‑management and commercial awareness.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and budgets.
• Full UK driving licence and health & safety awareness.
