Organisation Effectiveness Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Organisation Effectiveness Specialist to join a leading UK retail and corporate bank’s enterprise simplification programme. The role will work directly with HR leadership to design and implement target operating models that prepare the organisation for AI adoption and agile ways of working. This is a 6‑month contract position based in London with a hybrid working pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of target operating models (TOM), ensuring structural alignment across the enterprise.
• Conduct comprehensive organisational health diagnostics, analysing spans of control, hierarchy layers, and committee structures.
• Translate complex headcount and workforce analytics into actionable cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Partner closely with HR Directors, Managing Directors and external consulting partners to drive transformation outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in organisational design or transformation within banking or top‑tier management consulting (e.g., Big 4, MBB, Baringa, Accenture).
• Strong data‑analytics proficiency using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik.
• Hands‑on experience with organisational visualisation platforms like Orgvue or Visier.
• Practical understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe) and change‑management principles.
