About the role
Join HSBC’s Group Compensation team as an Executive Compensation Specialist, shaping the bank’s response to evolving remuneration regulations. You will work in a complex global environment, collaborating with regional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective governance.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure reward policies comply with PRA/FCA remuneration rules for banks, asset management and insurance firms.
- Lead and manage the bi‑annual material risk‑taker identification and employee communication process for UK regulated entities.
- Prepare annual Remuneration Policy Statements, year‑end regulatory submissions and Pillar 3 disclosures.
- Act as the central point of contact for regional teams on remuneration regulations and advise on compensation queries.
- Partner with global colleagues to draft board and remuneration committee papers, design bespoke remuneration plans and deliver regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate Group responses to consultations on remuneration regulation matters.
- Work with internal stakeholders to implement governance processes for annual pay reviews.
- Develop control and assurance procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external reporting standards.
Required profile
- Deep understanding of executive remuneration and UK financial‑services regulatory frameworks (PRA/FCA Remuneration Codes, EBA Guidelines).
- Strong experience preparing and submitting UK regulatory remuneration reports, including Pillar 3 and Remuneration Policy Statements.
- Proven ability to plan and meet tight deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to senior management.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency for handling and analysing large data sets.
