Paraplanner – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a boutique wealth management firm in Birmingham. Working closely with senior Financial Advisers, you will provide high‑quality technical research, report writing and paraplanning support throughout the financial planning journey for high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and compliant suitability reports for Financial Advisers.
• Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection and broader financial planning solutions.
• Support Advisers throughout the end‑to‑end advice process.
• Liaise professionally with clients, providers and third parties to deliver an outstanding client experience.
• Produce accurate documentation within agreed service standards.
• Maintain detailed client records using Intelligent Office or a similar back‑office system.
• Stay up to date with industry legislation, products and regulatory developments.
• Assist in developing and improving internal processes and business efficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Paraplanner within a wealth management or financial planning environment.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and a client‑focused mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining compliance and high standards of accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Intelligent Office or a comparable back‑office system.
