About the role
Mosaic Recruitment is seeking an experienced part‑time bookkeeper to support a small, growing construction business. The role is permanent, flexible and requires roughly one day per week, with the ability to choose the specific day and hours.
Key responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day bookkeeping using Xero
- Process purchase and sales invoices and allocate payments
- Complete bank and supplier reconciliations
- Maintain accurate customer and supplier accounts
- Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with credit control
- Process expenses and receipts, and prepare month‑end information
- Liaise with external accountants and resolve account queries
Required profile
- Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Reliable, flexible and proactive approach
- Own reliable transport (car) due to rural location
Required skills
- Practical working knowledge of Xero
- Experience with purchase and sales ledgers
- Bank and supplier reconciliation experience
