About the role
Alleyn’s Junior School is looking for a dedicated Pastoral Care Assistant to join its caring community. You will work closely with pupils, staff, parents and external professionals to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience, ensuring every child feels supported and able to thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Provide proactive, warm support to pupils across the school day.
- Help children manage emotions, build confidence and engage fully with school life.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies to address wellbeing concerns.
- Contribute to the school’s values‑led pastoral ethos and inclusive culture.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor pupil progress in wellbeing.
Required profile
- Passion for supporting children’s emotional and social development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
