Patient Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Patient Coordinator to join our client’s vibrant healthcare team in Birmingham. Working hybrid, Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their appointments are booked smoothly and their experience is welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient referrals and determine suitability for clinical units.
• Book and confirm appointments, providing patients with necessary information and medication details.
• Send follow‑up correspondence and keep patients informed.
• Handle cancellations or changes with professionalism.
• Maintain accurate patient correspondence and contact records.
• Prepare patient notes and health information for upcoming visits.
• Support audit activities and verify patient outcome data.
• Contribute ideas to improve care delivery within the organisation.

Required profile

• Enhanced DBS check (in‑date) is mandatory.
• Previous experience in medical patient appointment booking, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while handling confidential information.
