Payroll Client Manager – Central London

About the role

Join Reed's dedicated payroll team in Central London and take ownership of a multi‑client portfolio. You will manage end‑to‑end payroll processing, ensure compliance, and act as the primary point of contact for client payroll queries.

Key responsibilities

• Run full payroll cycles for multiple clients using BrightPay or similar software, handling starters, leavers, statutory payments and RTI submissions.
• Administer auto‑enrolment duties and pension contributions across schemes such as NEST, Smart Pension and The People’s Pension.
• Provide expert advice on salary sacrifice, NI categories and benefits in kind while staying up‑to‑date with UK payroll legislation.
• Scope and onboard new payroll clients, coordinating information transfer from previous providers.
• Maintain client relationships through regular meetings, calls and proactive issue identification.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a bureau or multi‑client environment.
• Proven ability to manage an independent portfolio of payroll clients.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working autonomously.

• BrightPay (or comparable multi‑client payroll software)
• Karbon (workflow and practice management system)
