Payroll Specialist

About the role
Our client, a well‑known financial services institution, is expanding its UK payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across the United Kingdom and several EMEA jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Process the UK payroll each month, guaranteeing correct statutory deductions and timely HMRC submissions.
- Support the coordination of payroll runs for multiple EMEA countries.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve any variances.
- Generate payroll‑related reports and analyses for business stakeholders.
- Administer employee benefits, including renewals, enrolments, claims handling and related queries.
- Drive compliance initiatives within the payroll department.
- Liaise with internal and external tax teams on payroll taxation matters.
Required profile
- Proven expertise in UK payroll legislation and processes.
- Experience or willingness to work on payrolls for EMEA jurisdictions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to produce clear reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of UK payroll systems and statutory requirements.
- Familiarity with EMEA payroll coordination.
