Pension Administrator

About the role

We are partnering with a leading educational body in Birmingham to hire a Pension Administrator on a temporary, full‑time basis until the end of August. The role starts as soon as possible and offers a hybrid working pattern with 1‑2 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate monthly pension returns for the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and the Teachers' Pension Scheme.
• Collate, validate and combine pension data from multiple sources to ensure compliance.
• Process pension submissions for new starters, leavers, employment changes and retirements.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies before submission.
• Respond to pension‑related enquiries from employees, providers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Recent experience with both the LGPS and Teachers' Pension Scheme.
• Experience working within a local authority or educational organisation is desirable.
• Immediate availability for a full‑time (35 hours/week) temporary contract.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
