Pensions Calculation Analyst

About the role

The Pension Calculation Analyst will help define and develop standard pension calculations and ensure new calculation requirements align with the operating model. Working remotely, the role involves mentoring junior team members and leading the Solutions Team across multiple projects. The position sits within an expanding pensions business that has recently secured several new scheme wins.

Key responsibilities

• Own the methodology and process for calculation development, managing dependencies on other systems.
• Analyse new and existing calculations, scheme rules, technical documentation and legislation to produce detailed calculation specifications.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, client project analysts, and technical and operations teams on implementations and change.
• Work with the Product Manager to support new and existing product development related to calculations.
• Document and communicate new procedures, supporting their adoption across the business.
• Drive change initiatives within business areas.

Required profile

• Proven experience with defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension calculations.
• Ability to interpret scheme rules, legislation and technical documentation into clear specifications.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to mentor junior colleagues and take a leadership role within the team.
• Based more than two hours travel time from London.
