Pensions Solicitor Partner

About the role

Our client, a nationally recognised UK law firm, is seeking an experienced Pensions Solicitor to join as a Partner in Birmingham. The role offers autonomy, high‑quality client work and the chance to shape the firm’s pensions practice both regionally and nationally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex pensions mandates for employers, trustees, public bodies and financial institutions.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships across the pensions sector.
• Collaborate with employment, corporate, banking and dispute resolution teams on multidisciplinary matters.
• Drive business development initiatives and contribute to the firm’s growth strategy.
• Oversee transactions, projects and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Established Pensions Partner or Legal Director/Senior Associate/Counsel with a proven track record of business development.
• Extensive experience advising on a broad range of pensions matters, including trustee and employer advisory work.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain client relationships.
• Experience leading transactions and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commercial awareness and proactive approach to growth.
• Ambition to influence the direction of the practice; a portable client following is advantageous but not essential.
