Personal Tax Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Personal Tax Associate to join our client’s expanding tax team in Manchester. You will work with a diverse portfolio of individuals, providing tax compliance, advisory, and filing services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare personal tax returns for a varied client base.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of P11Ds.
• Support clients with day‑to‑day personal tax queries and compliance.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to advisory work.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients when required.
• Maintain accurate client records and meet HMRC deadlines.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a personal tax role within a UK accountancy practice.
• Good understanding of UK personal tax legislation and HMRC compliance.
• Experience preparing personal tax returns for a varied portfolio.
• ATT qualified, studying towards ATT/CTA, or qualified by experience (desirable).
• Strong communication, attention to detail and organisational abilities.
