Personal Tax Senior – Private Client Team

About the role

An established and growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Reading is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Semi‑Senior or Senior to strengthen its expanding private client team. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, close‑knit firm with a strong local presence and a reputation for delivering reliable compliance services and personalised tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage personal tax returns and compliance work from start to finish.
• Provide tailored tax advice and planning solutions for high‑net‑worth individuals, SME directors and partnerships.
• Participate in ad‑hoc project work and client development activities.
• Assist in mentoring and supporting junior staff members.

Required profile

• Qualified ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA.
• Solid experience in personal tax within a practice environment.
• Background in an independent, boutique, or mid‑sized firm preferred.
• Ability to manage compliance work with minimal supervision.
• Enthusiastic about private client tax and committed to long‑term development.

What we offer

• Salary £40,000 – £48,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
