Accounts Payable Clerk – Part‑time Temporary

About the role
We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a part‑time temporary assignment in Reading. This hybrid role offers £15–£16 per hour for 15 hours each week, spread flexibly across at least three days, and is expected to run until April 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and check them against purchase orders.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and intercompany balances, resolving differences promptly.
- Maintain accurate supplier records across the finance systems.
- Prepare authorised payment runs and review postings after payment.
- Support month‑end activity, including accruals and account reconciliations.
- Help colleagues resolve system issues and improve day‑to‑day AP processes.
Required profile
- Solid hands‑on accounts payable experience.
- Ability to manage a busy workload with minimal training.
- Strong attention to detail, good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.
- Organised and collaborative approach.
