Pharmacy Technician – 30 hrs/week Permanent

About the role

Spire Alexandra Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join its Pharmacy Department on a permanent, 30‑hour per week contract. You will support the delivery of safe, effective medication services to patients across our private hospital in Medway.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacy team in providing a high‑quality pharmacy service within your level of competence.
• Accurately dispense medicines according to prescriptions, with pharmacist verification.
• Prepare small batches of pre‑packed or over‑labelled medicines as required.
• Record activity data correctly and pass information to the appropriate team members.
• Identify and report any significant changes that could affect patient health and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting.
• Strong team‑working abilities and excellent interpersonal communication.
• High numeracy and literacy skills.
• Administrative experience with checking and monitoring processes.
• Ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations professionally.
