Phlebotomist – Full‑time Fixed‑term (1 year) – Birmingham

About the role

Randox Health is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to join its Birmingham clinic on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will be the first point of contact for private and corporate clients, ensuring a smooth and professional experience while collecting blood and urine samples.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client appointments, collecting blood and urine samples and performing basic health measurements.
• Enter sample data accurately into the Patient Information System (PIS) and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Communicate clearly with clients to obtain consent and explain procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including proper handling of live blood samples.
• Work a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, including weekends, with shift times of either 7 am‑7 pm or 8 am‑8 pm.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the UK for at least 12 months from the application date.
• Hepatitis B vaccination (or willingness to be vaccinated after interview).
• Successful enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Ability to work the specified shift pattern and weekends.

Required skills

• Phlebotomy – proficient in blood sample collection.
• Urine sample collection.
• Use of Patient Information Systems for data entry and record keeping.
