Picker / Packer / Dispatch Operative - Food Production

About the Role

As a Picker / Packer / Dispatch Operative, you will play a vital role in our supply chain, ensuring that every order is prepared to the highest standards and ready for timely dispatch.

Main Responsibilities

• Accurately pick customer orders within strict deadlines, ensuring all products meet company quality specifications.
• Prepare, label, and organize goods for shipment, maintaining high hygiene standards and minimizing waste.
• Execute daily packing tasks for designated sections to ensure seamless workflow.
• Perform end-of-day stock checks to ensure no products remain in stock and verify order quantities.
• Maintain precise and legible documentation for all dispatch activities.
• Proactively communicate any picking issues or discrepancies to the Supervisor or Dispatch Manager before they escalate.

Candidate Profile

• You thrive in high-energy, fast-moving environments where speed and accuracy are equally important.
• You are reliable and comfortable working a flexible schedule (shifts starting between 09:30 and 10:30, working until orders are complete).
• You are available to work a 5-on/7-day rota, which includes weekend shifts.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility regarding food safety and quality control.

Required Skills

• Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or food production environment (highly desirable).
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate counting and inventory tasks.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding English instructions.
• Ability to work with high attention to detail and strict adherence to quality procedures.
