Plastering Lecturer

About the role

The City of Liverpool College is seeking a Plastering Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching across Level 2 to Level 6 and evening programmes. You will create engaging learning experiences that combine theory, practical skills and assessment within the Sustainable Construction & Building Services department.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons using a range of effective teaching techniques.
• Maintain a safe, motivating learning environment and promote respectful behaviour.
• Set and mark student work in line with college assessment policies.
• Track student progress and attendance, ensuring timely feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum design and strategic objectives with the Head of School.
• Stay up‑to‑date with national developments in construction education.

Required profile

• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of plastering and construction.
• Experience assessing student work and delivering vocational training.
• Ability to teach a range of professional construction units.
• Commitment to innovative teaching practice and curriculum development.
