Platform Engineer – Enhanced DV Clearance (Cloud)

About the role

We are seeking a Platform Engineer with an active enhanced DV clearance to join a leading consultancy delivering cloud‑based solutions for defence and national security clients. The role is based in Manchester and involves working on high‑impact, mission‑critical projects across multiple cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform.
• Build, optimise and support CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or Jenkins.
• Deploy and operate containerised workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to ensure compliance with defence standards.

Required profile

• Active enhanced DV clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Proven experience in a cloud infrastructure or cloud support role.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Manchester or travel to the office as needed.

Required skills

• AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Terraform.
• GitLab or Jenkins CI/CD tools.
• Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ansible (preferred for configuration management).
