PMO Lead – 6‑month contract, £550/day, SC clearance

About the role

We are seeking a PMO Lead to join a government‑related programme on a 6‑month rolling contract. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the office, and offers a daily rate of £550 inside IR35. An active Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain RAID logs, project plans, schedules and action items.
• Produce weekly and monthly management information reports.
• Support governance meetings, follow‑ups and stakeholder communications.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies and drive escalation to senior leadership.
• Assist delivery managers and programme leads with administrative coordination.
• Drive staff onboarding and cross‑department communication for engineering and delivery teams.
• Define and enforce delivery standards, frameworks and controls across the portfolio.
• Provide portfolio‑level reporting, financial insight and resource visibility.
• Maintain a single source of truth for delivery status and implement tracking mechanisms.

• CoPilot or similar AI support tools.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Microsoft Power BI (desirable).
