Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

Evam is building a mission‑critical platform that runs at massive scale. As Lead DevOps Engineer you will own the technical direction of the Kubernetes platform, grow a high‑performing team and turn incident learnings into systemic reliability improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Set the roadmap and technical standards for Kubernetes platforms across AWS, Azure and bare‑metal environments supporting 50+ micro‑services.
• Lead people management for the DevOps team – hiring, onboarding, performance reviews and career development.
• Design, own and continuously improve CI/CD and GitOps pipelines for zero‑downtime releases.
• Build observability (metrics, logs, traces) and implement autoscaling, self‑healing and resilience patterns.
• Collaborate with data and ML teams to scale real‑time ML workloads on Kubernetes.
• Integrate security controls into pipelines (DevSecOps) and lead incident response with post‑mortems.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on DevOps/SRE/Platform engineering experience, with at least 2 years managing engineers.
• Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration expertise, able to set standards and review designs.
• Experience operating multi‑cloud (AWS, Azure) and on‑prem environments.
• Proven track record of making architectural decisions for infrastructure platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
