Power BI Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Specialist to develop and enhance business reporting and KPI frameworks within a fast‑paced engineering and manufacturing environment. The role will deliver high‑quality dashboards, reports and data models that support informed decision‑making across multiple stakeholder groups.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Power BI dashboards and reports using data from SQL databases, dataflows, SharePoint, Excel and APIs.
• Create and maintain scalable data models to meet reporting requirements.
• Manage KPI scorecards, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organisation.
• Ensure reporting solutions adhere to design, usability and data‑quality standards.
• Monitor, support and enhance existing reports, resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into visualisations.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting governance, frameworks and best practices.
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity and performance across all solutions.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, DAX and data modelling.
• Proven ability to work with multiple data sources such as SQL, SharePoint, Excel, APIs and dataflows.
• Good understanding of ETL and data‑transformation processes.
• Attention to detail with a focus on data quality and consistency.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing KPI frameworks or business scorecards is a plus.

• 12‑month fixed‑term contract (Inside IR35).
• Hybrid/onsite/remote working arrangements to be confirmed.
• 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
