About the role
Scripture Union Scotland is seeking a Prayer and Church Partnerships Lead to inspire and coordinate prayer initiatives for children and young people across Scotland. Working part‑time in a hybrid model, you will report to the Director of Development and help shape the organisation’s church partnership strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Inspire and resource prayer for and among children and young people throughout Scotland.
- Plan, promote and deliver prayer events and create supporting resources.
- Collaborate with SU Scotland Ambassadors in churches across the country.
- Develop and refine the church partnership strategy in line with organisational goals.
- Foster links with SU Movements internationally, focusing on Ukraine, Belarus and Rwanda.
- Engage in ministry partner development activities.
Required profile
- Vibrant Christian faith with a strong personal prayer life.
- Proven experience in prayer ministry within a local church or Christian ministry context.
- Theological astuteness and understanding of diverse prayer styles across denominations.
- Excellent relationship‑building, written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to Scripture Union Scotland’s ethos, vision and safeguarding policies.
- Occupational requirement: must be a committed Christian.
What we offer
- Salary pro‑rated for part‑time: £18,762 – £20,165 per annum (equivalent to £31,271 – £33,609 full‑time).
