Pricing and Commercial Insights Manager – Law Firm

About the role

The Pricing and Commercial Insights Manager will drive the firm’s pricing agenda, ensuring robust benchmarking, analytical tools, and commercial capabilities that support both firm‑wide and finance‑department strategies. You will work closely with partners, client‑relationship teams, and finance colleagues to maximise profitability and enhance client relationships across the firm’s global practice.

Key responsibilities

• Advise partners on pricing techniques, model financial impact, and challenge decisions to maximise client value.
• Support partners in client‑facing engagements and provide commercial insight.
• Partner with Client Relationship and Development teams to plan investments and drive profitability.
• Deliver senior finance support for commercial improvement projects across EMEA.
• Promote pricing tools internally, increase adoption, and present to stakeholders.
• Educate stakeholders on pricing proposals, positioning pricing as a strategic relationship builder.
• Assist partners with budgeting, performance monitoring, and project‑level financial management, especially for complex litigation.
• Advocate legal project‑management discipline where needed.
• Collaborate with Commercial Finance on annual rate reviews to optimise profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with Business Development to establish pricing policies for transactions, bids, and panel appointments.

Required profile

• Experienced pricing professional with strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior partners and work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of finance, commercial strategy, and legal service delivery.
