Primary SEN Teacher – West London

About the role
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a thriving special needs school in West London. The role starts on a timesheet basis during a probation period, with the prospect of a permanent contract upon successful performance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality primary (KS1/2) teaching for pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties and other special educational needs.
- Utilise the school’s advanced therapy hub and multi‑sensory outdoor space to support pupil learning.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, teaching staff and therapy teams to develop individualized learning plans.
- Maintain accurate records, assess progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet each child’s needs.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in special education (newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply).
- Strong commitment to making a difference for children with SEN.
- Experience working with pupils who have severe learning difficulties, either in a special or mainstream setting.
- Basic knowledge of PECS, Makaton, TEACCH and Team Teach (full training provided).
