Key responsibilities

• Work on a flexible day‑to‑day supply basis in primary schools across Wigan and Leigh.
• Cover classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Deliver engaging lessons planned by the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt to different schools, year groups and classroom settings.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.
• Liaise with school staff and follow each school’s policies and procedures.
• Potentially take on longer‑term assignments as they become available.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, staff and parents.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to different school environments.
• Passion for providing high‑quality learning experiences for pupils.
• Reliability, enthusiasm and commitment to working in varied settings.
