About the role

A community‑focused primary school in Lambeth is seeking an inspiring Primary Teacher to lead a Year 2 class from September 2026. The role starts on a one‑year fixed‑term contract with strong potential to become permanent based on performance and staffing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that meet the Year 2 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 assessments while maintaining a broad, balanced programme.
• Use assessment data to identify next steps and accelerate pupil progress.
• Establish a positive, consistent classroom culture that encourages learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues on shared planning and best practice.
• Build strong relationships with families to support children’s learning at home.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school.
• Excellent classroom management and strong subject knowledge.
• Commitment to high standards for every pupil.
• Energy, creativity and a collaborative approach to teaching.
