Learning and Development Specialist – Driver Development

About the role
We are looking for an experienced learning and development specialist to lead the design, development and continuous improvement of Ember’s driver training and development programmes. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of driver development by creating high‑quality learning solutions for both new and experienced drivers, improving operational standards and building internal capability to deliver industry‑leading training.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop a comprehensive driver learning and development framework.
- Create and implement high‑quality training programmes covering induction, driver CPC, refresher training and remedial coaching.
- Build internal capability by developing training resources and introducing consistent standards and assessment practices.
- Collaborate with Operations leaders to identify learning needs, analyse performance trends and design targeted learning interventions.
- Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve programme effectiveness through quality assurance, learner feedback and operational performance data.
Required profile
- Excellent communicator who can give clear direction in complex or time‑critical situations.
- Detail‑oriented with strong operational awareness, spotting issues early.
- Digital native comfortable with new tech systems and helping others use them effectively.
- Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities.
- Calm, thoughtful decision‑maker who supports others under pressure.
- Motivated by delivering great service for people who rely on connectivity.
What we offer
- Salary up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
