About the role

Join a leading consultancy in Manchester as a Principal Flood Risk Consultant. You will drive high‑impact flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling projects, supporting clients across infrastructure, urban development and environmental sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage flood risk projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
• Perform hydraulic modelling and data analysis using TUFLOW, Flood Modeller and InfoWorks ICM.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Contribute to business development through tendering, client engagement and proposal preparation.
• Produce client‑facing reports, presentations and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Geography, Science, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered status with CIWEM or ICE.
• Significant experience delivering flood risk management projects.
• Proven leadership and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
