Principal Technology Architect – LLMs & Intelligent IDEs

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Principal Technology Architect to lead the design and delivery of AI‑native solutions that reshape engineering workflows. Based in London, you will drive the adoption of large language models, agentic coding systems, and intelligent IDEs across multi‑region programs.

Key responsibilities

• Define solution strategy, roadmap and measurable outcomes for complex AI initiatives.
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions on LLMs, retrieval‑augmented generation, prompt and model operations.
• Architect AI integrations across APIs, pipelines, cloud services and enterprise toolchains while ensuring reliability, safety and cost efficiency.
• Operationalise agentic engineering capabilities such as task decomposition, memory, planning and tool orchestration.
• Build, mentor and scale high‑performing engineering teams, fostering reusable assets and continuous learning.
• Govern delivery scope, risk and quality, and communicate progress to executives and technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading AI‑native solutions at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to set technical vision and own end‑to‑end delivery.
• Strong executive engagement and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with large language models (LLMs).
• Agentic frameworks and autonomous coding systems.
• Claude Code (Anthropic) or similar AI coding assistants.
• API design and integration.
• Pipeline orchestration and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Enterprise toolchain integration.
• Prompt engineering, model operations, and retrieval‑augmented generation.
