Private Client Partner / Senior Associate

About the role

Eventus Legal is recruiting a Private Client Partner / Senior Associate for a leading law firm in Birmingham. The role offers a permanent contract, hybrid working and the chance to shape the firm’s private client practice while progressing towards partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high‑quality private client caseload focused on estate planning and wealth structuring.
• Advise high‑net‑worth individuals, families and business owners on trusts, succession and inheritance tax matters.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with clients and professional advisers such as accountants and IFAs.
• Support business development initiatives and generate new instructions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to maximise referral opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and uphold technical standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience in private client law.
• Proven expertise in estate planning, trusts and wealth planning for high‑net‑worth clients.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex succession and inheritance tax issues.
• Aspiration to progress to partnership and influence practice strategy.
