Private Client Tax Manager

About the role

This position is with a respected Chartered Accountants firm in Birmingham, supporting high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and business owners. The role offers a blend of technical tax work, client relationship management and the chance to mentor junior staff in a supportive, flexible‑working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and business owners.
• Provide proactive, technically sound tax planning advice.
• Review tax returns and computations prepared by junior team members.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Support and mentor junior staff within the tax department.

Required profile

• CTA and/or ATT qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience working within a UK practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and mentoring junior staff.
