Private Client Tax Senior Manager

About the role

As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager you will become a trusted adviser to individuals, families and trustees, guiding them through complex tax matters. You will lead the Private Client & Trust Services team, combining deep technical expertise with a commercial mindset to deliver high‑quality compliance and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Personal and Trust Tax compliance service, reviewing and signing off returns.
• Deliver advisory projects covering trusts, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, offshore trusts and international tax issues.
• Oversee 60‑day CGT returns, Trust Registration Service, Trust IHT returns and CRS reporting.
• Manage client relationships, liaise with HMRC and professional advisers, and mitigate risk.
• Coach, develop and manage the Private Client & Trust Services team, including workflow, billing and utilisation.
• Support recruitment, appraisals, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive business development through networking, client development and technical marketing.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Significant experience in private client tax and trust services.
• Proven team leadership experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills.
