Private Client Tax Senior Manager

About the role

TPF Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious chartered accountancy firm to hire a Private Client Tax Senior Manager for their Salisbury office. This senior leadership position will oversee complex personal tax affairs, deliver high‑quality advisory projects and help shape the future of the tax department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals, landed estates, agricultural clients, entrepreneurs, partnerships and trusts.
• Lead tax planning projects such as succession planning, use of trusts and corporate structures, and advise on capital gains and inheritance tax matters.
• Collaborate with partners and directors on complex assignments, ensuring exceptional client service.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., accounts and corporate tax) to provide integrated advice.
• Oversee compliance work and mentor junior team members, providing technical training and feedback.

Required profile

• Significant experience in private client tax within a professional services firm.
• Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of personal tax issues and ability to explain complex matters clearly.
• Proven experience in both compliance and advisory tax planning.
• Excellent people‑management skills with a track record of developing junior staff.
• ACA and/or CTA qualification and strong organisational abilities.
