Procurement Manager – Fixed Term until Dec 2027

About the role

We are partnering with a respected membership organisation (annual turnover ~£25 million) to create a standalone Procurement Manager role. Reporting to the Facilities & Operations Manager, you will shape the procurement function from day one, influencing strategy, governance and commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve the organisation’s procurement strategy.
• Embed robust procurement governance, policies and best practice.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive contracts register.
• Review supplier performance and identify opportunities for greater value and efficiency.
• Support contract managers across the organisation to improve procurement capability.
• Build strong, collaborative supplier relationships.
• Deliver value for money while ensuring compliance and effective risk management.
• Support a multi‑year digital transformation programme, including procurement of business‑critical contracts.

Required profile

• Proven procurement experience across a broad range of categories.
• Strong knowledge of procurement governance, contract management and supplier relationship management.
• Confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic mindset combined with a practical, hands‑on approach.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Experience developing procurement processes, frameworks or governance.

What we offer

• Hybrid working – typically one day per week in the London office (Chancery Lane).
• 35 hours per week.
• Fixed‑term contract until 31 December 2027 with strong potential to become permanent.
• Competitive salary range £53,500‑£60,500 per year.
