Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for a leading organisation in Slough. The role is permanent and focuses on delivering high‑quality goods and services while driving sustainability, risk mitigation and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with business objectives and legal standards.
• Centralise contract negotiations, supplier renewals and optimise workflows using e‑procurement tools.
• Manage indirect spend, conduct market research, run tenders and evaluate bids to secure best value.
• Build strong supplier relationships, monitor performance through KPIs and ensure service level compliance.
• Oversee the procure‑to‑pay cycle, ensuring accurate requisitions, purchasing and invoicing within budget.
• Conduct spend analysis, prepare reports for senior leadership and the Board.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement or related field (CIPS qualification preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar procurement role, ideally within healthcare or medical‑device environments.
• Familiarity with regulated industries and standards such as ISO.

Required skills

• Proficiency with e‑procurement tools.
• Spend analysis and KPI reporting.
