Professional Indemnity Solicitor – Construction Disputes

About the role

Professional Indemnity Solicitor (Construction Disputes), 8+ PQE, London, £100–120K DOE. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced solicitor to join a highly regarded, Legal 500 Tier 1 Professional Indemnity team. The role offers the chance to work on complex, high‑value construction‑related professional indemnity claims within a growing national Insurance Disputes practice.

Key responsibilities

• Defend construction professionals—including architects, engineers, contractors and consultants—in complex, high‑value professional indemnity claims.
• Advise insurers on construction‑related coverage matters and manage matters from inception through to resolution.
• Work alongside experienced partners and colleagues across the wider Insurance Disputes team, taking ownership of substantial matters.
• Develop strong client relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice.
• Supervise and support junior fee earners.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 8+ years PQE and substantial experience in professional indemnity and/or commercial litigation.
• Proven track record of managing complex, high‑value claims with excellent technical, drafting and analytical skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, sound judgement and a practical, solutions‑focused approach.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills, with strong matter‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively; experience supervising junior lawyers is an advantage.
