Project Manager – Climate

About the role

The Climate team within the Strategy and Transformation directorate is seeking a Project Manager to drive key initiatives that reduce borough‑wide emissions and build resilience to climate impacts. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects that support Hounslow’s Climate Emergency Action Plan and help deliver a just transition for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the Community Energy Fund and schools decarbonisation programme.
• Design and implement the Climate Change Resilience Plan for the borough.
• Manage Hounslow Green Investment, Carbon Offset Fund and the Climate Investment Board.
• Provide project support for the Hounslow Heat Network and the Strategic Energy Partnership.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to influence wider borough emissions reduction.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering climate or environmental projects in a public‑sector context.
• Understanding of decarbonisation pathways, net‑zero targets and climate resilience strategies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and timelines simultaneously.
