Project Manager – Construction

About the role

Equans is seeking a Project Manager to lead a portfolio of construction projects across Scotland from its Bellshill office. The role is full‑time, permanent and involves end‑to‑end delivery of works valued up to £2 million.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of project works, primarily on the Wheatley Group contract, ensuring they meet budget, risk and profitability targets.
• Consult with clients and stakeholders to define briefs, develop Employer’s Requirements and produce clear activity schedules.
• Coordinate consultants, designers and sub‑contractors to document scope and manage the tender process.
• Act as the client representative under CDM regulations, overseeing PC & PD appointments and managing statutory and commercial risks.
• Embed EQUANS SHEQ practices, conduct management safety visits and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Manage day‑to‑day operational aspects of projects, driving resources, supply partners and internal support functions to successful completion.
• Maintain commercial awareness, monitor project costs and revenue, and secure margin contributions.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering construction projects up to £2 million.
• Ability to consult with clients and translate requirements into actionable project plans.
• Experience working with consultants, specialists and sub‑contractors.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and client‑representative responsibilities.
• Strong commercial understanding of project budgets, costs and revenue.
• Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality (SHEQ) standards.
