Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead a £20M+ commercial refurbishment project in Falkirk for the Department of Work and Pensions. The role is site‑based with hybrid flexibility and a 42.5‑hour work week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee project delivery, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage and mentor site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme requirements.
• Act as the main client point of contact, building strong relationships and identifying future opportunities.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies across all activities.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to monitor financial performance and produce regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing high‑value construction projects within a main contracting environment.
• Confidence leading multidisciplinary teams and building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Relevant construction qualification (HND/Degree or equivalent) and membership with a professional body such as CIOB or ICE.
• Essential certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid, and a valid driving licence.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with NEC and JCT contract conditions.
