Project Manager – Construction (HMP Glasgow)

About the role

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our HMP Glasgow team in Glasgow. The role is onsite, full‑time, Monday to Friday, and will lead the construction of the £45 million front‑of‑house element of a £750 million custodial facilities project, delivering a modern rehabilitation‑focused facility for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of the front‑of‑house building, managing health & safety, site teams and subcontractors to meet programme requirements.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to monitor and report financial status while ensuring quality standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, creating ongoing partnership opportunities.
• Mentor and support team members, sharing expertise to develop others.
• Ensure all work complies with Kier’s health, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Significant experience delivering large‑scale construction projects, especially steel‑frame buildings.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets and programmes with attention to detail and quality.
• Strong team‑nurturing and development skills.
• Excellent communication and collaborative relationship building.
• Relevant construction qualifications (HND/Degree or equivalent), SMSTS, CSCS Card, and a full driving licence.
