Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

About the role

Based in our Washington office in the North East of England, you will lead the delivery of infrastructure projects across water and wastewater networks. You will ensure programmes meet safety, time, cost, quality and customer expectations while aligning with company and divisional objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to completion, including pre‑start meetings and strategic programme planning.
• Produce and maintain the Project Delivery Plan and short‑term programmes, adjusting as required.
• Oversee design, safety, quality, resource planning, programme and commercial management.
• Ensure accurate HSQ&E reporting and compliance with legal and group policies.
• Staff projects adequately, foster two‑way communication and maintain high team morale.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to align operational and commercial matters.
• Support bid team activities and lead people responsibilities such as performance reviews and coaching.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple contracts and high‑value projects.
• Strong commercial and programming awareness.
• Site management safety certification (SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely).
• Full UK driving licence.
