Proxy SME Engineer – Skyhigh Web Gateway

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Proxy SME to lead the design, build, deployment and early‑life support of Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions in a large‑scale enterprise environment. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week on‑site in Chester.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end implementation of Skyhigh (or McAfee) Web Gateway proxies.
• Translate low‑level designs into live builds and production deployments.
• Provide early‑life support and troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Collaborate with network teams on routing, switching, firewalling and DMZ design.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Skyhigh or McAfee Web Gateway projects.
• Strong background in proxy technologies, SSL inspection and traffic handling.
• Hands‑on expertise in routing, switching, firewalling and secure network (DMZ) design.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, change‑driven environments.
