Qualified Social Worker – Adult MASH Team (Manchester)

About the role

Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and Early Help & Targeted Support Team within Manchester City Council. The role is contract‑based, paid at £37 per hour, and focuses on delivering coordinated, strengths‑based support to adults at risk.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and assess new contacts ranging from advice requests to safeguarding concerns.
• Collate information from multiple agencies using a strengths‑based conversation model.
• Work within a multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) that includes Council, Police, Health and partner organisations.
• Facilitate timely, coordinated actions to help adults achieve desired outcomes.
• Support the integration of MASH with the Early Help workstream of the Better Outcomes Better Lives (BOBL) programme.
• Contribute to the development of an integrated Adult Front Door model alongside the ASC Contact Centre.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with experience in adult social care and multi‑agency safeguarding.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across health, police, housing and voluntary sectors.
• Understanding of strengths‑based practice and early help interventions.
